Youngjae did what the others didn’t and lunged down to lift me up. He guided me out of the house with one hand around my waist. I know it was a bad time, but I started to get butterflies in my stomach.
By the time we got out and caught our breaths, I was still flooded with the thought of Youngjae. I never really thought of him as more than a friend, but when he went against all his fears and stopped to help me, I realized he had a heroic side to him. Like a knight hid behind an adorable best friend.
When we got outside, he took his hand off my waist before anyone noticed. JB did a head count and sighed. “Jackson let go of my hand. we’re fine!”
“Sorry…” Jackson said in slight shame.
I smiled at the two of them and we headed back to the car to go home. I sat down next to Youngjae and he pulled out his phone to check for messages. I melted when I saw his wallpaper image.
“Aww~ Is that Coco?” I asked. “I miss him…”
“Do you wanna visit him? I’m sure he’ll be happy to see a familiar face.” He said. I instantly got excited and accepted his invitation. JB dropped the two of us off and I realized I was about to be completely alone with him. Youngjae and I got out of the car, saying goodbye to the other boys and heading inside.
“Coco-yah~” He walked around the corner and picked up Coco from out of his kennel.
“Awww! Hi Coco! He’s so cute!” Youngjae placed him into my hands and Coco gave me little kisses on my face.
“I should let him outside.” He said, taking him from me. “I can come with. Do you still have that bench swing?”
“Yeah! Let’s go.” We walked out to the backyard and let Coco run free. I sat down on the swing with Youngjae right next to me and felt an urge to try and touch him to see if there was a spark. My palm opened up for him and I waited to see if he’d get the hint.
I watched Yougjae out of the corner of my eye as he looked down at my hand and smiled. He locked our fingers together and I laid my head on his shoulder, watching the stars shine in the sky. It was so strange that this whole night went by so quickly and now with him, it’s all slowing down.
“Y/n, can I be honest with you?” He asked.
“Of course.”
“I really really like you. Normally a haunted house would freak me out but when I saw that you were more scared than I was, all I wanted to do was protect you.”
“Youngjae…” He was so sweet and shy. I felt my heart pound in my chest.
“I know we’re friends, but I’d like to see where this goes.” He was so vulnerable in that moment, like he was putting his entire love life on the line… for me. I never thought his feelings for me were this strong.
I held his hand in mine, giving him a sense of security in what I was about to say. “I’d like that too.”
Youngjae smiled and started to lean towards me for a kiss. I felt so relieved that he shared my feelings and now I’ll finally know what his lips are like on mine. I closed my eyes, awaiting his kiss, but of course, Coco had more pressing matters.
He ran around the yard barking at the two of us and Youngjae pulled away just before our lips touched. I giggled at his annoyed expression and he picked up Coco. “Come on. Time for bed.” He was just like a father with a temperamental child. We walked into the house and Youngjae put Coco in his little, gated area.
He led me to his room and grabbed all the pillows he could find. I took some blankets and we went out into the living room.
“Pillow island or pillow fort?” He asked.
“Fort!”
We pushed the chairs from the dining room into the living room and dropped his sheets over. I scattered the fluffy comforter and pillows all around the interior and Youngjae opened up the front of the fort, just enough to see the TV.
I laid down on the pillows and he came to sit down next to me. He picked up the remote and played a movie for us to watch. I snuggled into his side and he turned over, pulling me into his chest. I smiled to myself for a little while, closing my eyes and just remembering how good it felt being in his arms.
Suddenly I felt a pair of soft, warm lips on mine. I opened my eyes and Youngjae leaned back in shock. “Oh, uh- I thought you were asleep.” I smiled and pulled him back in for another kiss. His hands held my waist hand he kissed me back. It was as if I had reached Nirvana. His kiss was so gentle and chaste. Just like him.
Mark He would try not to smile and fail miserably. As soon as you notice that he’s not even asleep he’d start in with his cute laugh and cuddle you in close. It’d be almost like a non-verbal ‘thank you’ for the kiss.
JB His lips would twitch when yours came in contact. Almost like a reflex to kiss you back. Even when he’s asleep, he knows the spark you bring when you kiss him.
Jackson One can no simply kiss Jackson and not get some love back. He’d pull you into his arms and cover you with kisses. He loves how affectionate you are and he’s not afraid of returning the favor.
Jinyoung He’s a very good actor so he wouldn’t move a muscle when you kiss him. But the moment you leave the room, his smile would creep onto his lips.
Youngjae He would wake up immediately. His confusion is always adorable, but he’d recognize the display of love and get super shy.
Bambam When you kiss him, he’d be fighting with himself to not move and ruin the moment. But he just can’t help it! You would notice his smile and he’d open his eyes completely and kiss you right back.
Yugyeom He would get all the shivers and tingle that he’d feel when he was awake. He’d be certain that it was a really good dream, but in reality, it’s just the love of his s/o.
Mark He might find that giving you space is the best way to go for a while. He knows your anger will melt away with time and you both will be in a more forgiving mood when you both have your thoughts in order.
JB He hates it when you fight! He spends so much time away from you, so getting into arguments makes him feel like you’re a million miles away, even when you’re right there with him. His number one goal would be to make sure that you two don’t go to bed angry, and that you can both feel comfortable telling each other everything no matter how bad it gets.
Jackson “How did we get here?” He would feel so troubled at the thought of hurting you. He’d be sitting on the other side of the bedroom door, thinking of what to say next in hopes that you’ll forgive him.
Jinyoung It’d be like that super dramatic moment out of the movies when he says something that hits below the belt and everything stops. But you know he wouldn’t mean to say something that would make you feel small. In that moment your trust in him would crack but not break and he knows it. In the future, he’d start to walk on eggshells when he’s talking to you, but through it all, he’s able to get back to the stable place in the relationship.
Youngjae You’d come back over to him after a while of not talking to find him laying on the couch with Coco and looking miserable. He never wants to fight with you and his sad face could shatter the hearts of millions. By that point, he would just want you to forgive him, but not because you want to make him feel better. He would want you to know that whatever he did to upset you so much won’t happen again.
Bambam When Bambam loves, he loves hard! It would crush him to see you angry or sad. Whether or not he’d actually cry, would depend on how harsh it got. By the end of it, he would fall silent. He doesn’t want to fight with you anymore or push you away.
Yugyeom This soft baby wouldn’t rest until you were happy again. He’d be laying in bed with you trying to at least hold your hand. Being able to have some kind of gentle contact from you will make him feel a lot better.
Mark His family would be overjoyed that you’re coming with him for Christmas. It would be the first time in a long time (or ever) that they were able to see his a girlfriend. The whole day would be filled with love and laughter.
JB He would treat his cat as his children since he isn’t at the point in his life yet. You two would sit by the tree and open presents for both you and your four-legged kids.
Jackson He would go ALL OUT! He’d play Christmas music all day long and have lights hung around the entire house. He is very family oriented, so dinner with Team Wang is a must.
Jinyoung Your first Christmas together, he wouldn’t expect anything but you. The two of you would stay in all day and snuggle and go out to see all the fun decorations at night. It doesn’t take much to satisfy him when you’re there.
Youngjae Much like JB with his cats, Youngjae would genuinely believe that Coco is like your child. You’d buy him a little stocking and give him treats and a new collar as his Christmas present. Youngjae would probably want to go for a nice walk around sunset, but above all else, he would want to have lots of cookies and hot cocoa alone with you.
Bambam As the king of fan service, he would want to bake cookies to give to Ahgases and decorate B-Chill with you. He wants to give back to the people he cares most about. At the end of the day, you two would have plenty of alone time to unwrap gifts… among other things 😉
Yugyeom Christmas day would be an endless cycle of movies, food, kisses and pure love. The tree would be decorated with your favorite colors and homemade ornaments. And as for your gift, he’d give you a key to his place so you can spend more Christmases together

Youngjae This big ball of sunshine will never let you frown! Truth be told, he would most likely pet your head about 20 times a day. But petting will always be better than pulling.

He would get on the stress relief bandwagon and give you a scalp massage to help you relax. If there is ever a shoulder that needed to be cried on or a smile to be made, he is there.
Yugyeom He would honestly be proud of the fact that you are able to firstly admit it to yourself and secondly take a ‘tough love’ approach and getting rid of the problem. But most of all he’d cover your face and head in kisses. “Yugy~ Stop!” “No. Your whole face is glowing now. I wanna admire it.” *kiss kiss kiss*
